Window Decor Ideas
Hey, if you’re looking for some window decor ideas that might be a little outside of the box, I want to put something together here for you to give you some ideas.
Now, oftentimes when you’re looking to redecorate a room, we think about the normal things that we forget the windows, and I think that the window grills that we offer a really cool way to upgrade what is otherwise just kind of vacant real estate. So I’m an old window transom here that I’ve just sort of set up as a dummy, so I can show you some of the window grills that we have going, including a new one.
Easy, DIY Project
But all of our window grilles are effectively a DIY solution that takes about 10 minutes to install. It just comes with a little pack of magnets. There are four magnets per grille, and if you can peel adhesive off the backing, you can pop these on. They’re very thin and they create a non-permanent solution. So you can just install the grille in about 10 minutes and you can pull the grille off anytime you need to wash the window.
The Lorraine
The first window here I’d like to show you is the Lorraine, and I’m not using the magnets today just for the purposes of ease of use and for this illustration here. But anytime you would be installing them in your home, you would have those four magnets placed on the back. You peel the adhesive and it pops right in.
Dramatic Upgrade
As you can see, putting a window grille in an open window gives you a huge bang for buck, and you still have the option of being able to see through the window. It just creates another layer, another texture in your room, and creates a sense of privacy and intimacy in that space. So I’m just going to run through some of the grilles that I’ve cut out for these for samples.
The Alnwick
This one is the Alnwick (see video)– this one happens to be one of our best sellers. We’ve sent all over the country.
The Tudor
This next grille here is the Tudor (see video). This is a new pattern for us. We’ve just introduced this here recently. This and all the grilles that we have can scale for different size and shapes, shapes of windows, and depending on your decorating budget, obviously you can swap out different grilles for seasons if you want, or different occasions. Once you have the magnets in the correct position, you can alternate different grille styles if you want.
The Traquair
This one is the Traquair (see video).
The Champagne
This is another personal favorite of mine. This is called the champagne (see video).
The Honeycomb
This last one here, this is a new one. This is the honeycomb pattern (see video). Very cool. My wife loves this one, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be making some of these for her. There you have it.

You can see the window grilles work has a great easy fix to update the feel of a room, takes advantage of open real estate and provides a pretty dramatic and significant bang for your buck.
