So Alexander Pope was a poet and apparently quite a gardener in his own right. He developed some gardening techniques that kind of speak to the problem that we face when we have big open windows, and we want to add some sort of privacy to that space. He said in one of his poems, let not each beauty everywhere be spied, but where half the skill is decently to hide.
